The Design Story

Inspired by “We need something Light. Bright and Water-tight” and challenged to exceed expectations of cyclists who ride in cities every day. Using superior lightweight fabrics, smarter construction and by stripping away unnecessary elements to focus on only the core essentials that cyclists value.

The “bright” part of the challenge required adding reflectivity without looking like a safety vest. Inspired by the indicator light on a MacBook- the printed fabric reflects light when needed and disappears into the fabric, when not in use. 

The sleep indicator light on the MacBook disappears from sight when not in use. The light emits through laser drilled perforations in the aluminum body. These holes are so tiny that the aluminum appears seamless when the light is off. Unlike other l…
